Quasi Modo is known as the ugliest dog in the world because of his "unique" appearance.

A cross between a German hound and a pitbull, Quasi Modo joins 27 other dogs in the annual contest to find the title of the world's ugliest dog in Petaluma, California.

This is the second time the 10-year-old dog Quasi Modo has participated in the competition. The owner took this dog to the exam even though he was on his honeymoon.

The judges scored the four-legged contestants based on first impressions, "badass" looks, characteristics, and part of the audience's score.

Karen Spencer, the show's marketing director, said: "We don't care about breed quality, but inner beauty and personality that make up this ugly dog contest."

The second place of the contest went to Sweepee Rambo, a chihuahua (Chinese) dog.

Next is Frodo, a 12-and-a-half year old hairless chihuhua from Sparks, Nevada.
